The National Lurcher & Racing Club was formed in 1980 and went on to become the largest, most successful lurcher club in the world today. Our membership is open to anyone with an interest in lurchers and the committee is made up of 6 elected officers, 2 of whom are elected each year on a 3 year cycle.
The club organizes events throughout the year at various venues in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland & Wales. Summer events can include Showing, Obedience, Racing, Simulated coursing, Hurdle racing & Long jump and our highly respected Demonstration Team can be seen at many major shows.
Winter events include Simulated coursing competition & Field Trials.
Members are entitled to reduced price tickets into certain shows, an annual members magazine, newsletters, free entry into members showing class, the opportunity to assist at various events, with a chance to socialize with like minded people. The Junior section is run for juniors by a junior and offers special newsletters and prize competitions
